Alice finding tiny door behind curtain

Presently she began again. ‘I wonder if I shall fall right THROUGH the earth! How funny it’ll seem to come out among the people that walk with their heads downward!’

Thanksgiving is a time when Americans celebrate their civil liberties.

Like freedom of assembly

and free speech.

Tents are not free speech.

Zucotti Park. Cleared.

Free speech is becoming pricey again in the land of the free.

Dorli Rainey (84 yrs.) Seattle WA 15 Nov. 2011

Especially for the brave.

The cost of education is rising too.

U.C. Davis, 18 Nov. 2011

Not to worry.  Free speech still lives in America.

Sometimes free speech doesn’t cost a cent.

In fact, sometimes it pays quite well.

$1.8 Million U.S.D.

Lobbying is free speech.

(As long as it is not done near a tent.  Or in a public park. Or for free.)

Liberty Park, for a time

But lobbying requires disclosure.

Disclosure is not free speech.

So instead of lobbying, think “strategic advice.”

From an historian.

Not from the former Speaker of the House.

Area of expertise?

“Belgian Education Policy in the Congo: 1945–1960.”

The strategic advice?

This is a bubble. This is insane.  This is impossible. “

$1.8 Million from Freddie Mac

This is a bubble.  This is insane.  This is impossible.

99% agree.

So why is the cash is falling out of our pockets and into the pockets of the 1%?

Why are our children, our seniors, our brave, our civil liberties

lying on the ground bleeding, crushed?

Curiouser and curiouser.

Guess only some of us can get anything we want from Alice.

The rest of us have to fight for what is already ours.

‘Who are YOU?’ said the Caterpillar, ‘Explain yourself!’
